My friend and I are from out of town and heard Martin's was the place to go to. Unfortunately, we had a waiter who was lacking in the customer service area. I was eavesdropping on the conversation that the other server was having with another set of customers. I decided to bring that to the managers attention. I wanted that level of customer service that the other server was giving. Okay, now the food was amazing. I ordered a bit too much. After a few hours out in Nashville and being in the refrigerator for more than 12 hours, my spare ribs were still juicy and tasty. I'm telling you that if you're ever in town, you have to try Martin's, the BBQ is delicious.

Martin's BBQ was a delightful find for our Saturday dinner. Although the line was long during peak dining hours, it moved at a reasonable pace. The convenient ordering system allowed us to place our order at the front and then find a table at our leisure. We chose the downstairs dining area, which offered a more relaxed atmosphere with air conditioning. However, upstairs would be ideal for those seeking a lively experience with a live band. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and the brisket was absolutely fantastic. It was tender and juicy. The mac and cheese was decent, but I wish the restaurant offered a wider variety of barbecue options, as I prefer the thicker Kansas-style barbecue. Overall, Martin's BBQ is a great place to satisfy Southern barbecue cravings, and I'd definitely go again.

We went here on our first day and I then spent the rest of the trip trying to figure out whether we could fit this into our itinerary a second time because it was so delicious. As a bigger group we got the Big Poppa Sampler - ribs, brisket, pork, and sausage and three sides, which we got mac and cheese, fries, and cornbread. Everything was so amazing that we ended up eating pretty much in silence. We were blown away by how great every single thing was. My top two were the brisket, which they are known for, and the mac and cheese. The restaurant itself was nice and they also have a great rooftop that I recommend on days that aren't too hot out.
